Brownfields Advanced Landscape Restoration Design Workshop

The objective of this workshop is to develop a landscape restoration plan for a Brownfields site in Chesapeake, Virginia, applying conservation landscaping and phytoremediation principles. Instructors from Stromberg, Garrigan, and Associates will direct a facilitated design charrette process to guide small group design teams through the development of a full design, to include site synthesis/analysis, planting plans, and a project narrative with recommendations and implementation/ management considerations.
This workshop is funded in part by a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Chesapeake Bay Small Watershed Implementation Grant to the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission for the project known as “Engaging Industrial Properties in Water Quality Improvement for the Elizabeth River (VA) . Wetlands Watch and the CBLP program is a subgrantee.
Day 2 will be held at the Elizabeth River Project’s new Ryan Resilience Lab in Norfolk. Lunch will be provided on Day 2.
Registration fee is $100/person, and space is limited.
Workshop registration fees under $100 are non-refundable. If you must cancel, upon request, we will issue a credit equaling the cost of the class for another CBLP event. Workshop registration is transferable to another individual.
