Description
The CBLP-Shorelines certificate course is a multi-day interactive workshop delivered in a hybrid format that combines online and classroom learning with field work. Participants will explore site analysis tools and complete a field-based site assessment, apply site data to living shoreline design projects, and complete Joint Permit Applications (JPA) for a Virginia general permit 1 or 2 project. Attendees receive instruction on living shoreline construction, adaptive management, typical maintenance tasks, and maintenance plan development. Individuals pursuing the CBLP-Shorelines certificate will be required to attend a living shoreline installation practicum at a professionally managed living shoreline installation project upon completion of this workshop.
This is a professional development workshop designed for existing CBLPs and professionals working along the shoreline who want to add Living Shoreline Services to their business offerings. Attend all workshop days, complete assignments and an installation practicum to earn the certificate.
Includes webinars, field workshops, and videos presented by experienced professionals.
