This  comprehensive course on planning, implementing, and managing riparian buffers is designed for landscape professionals, government employees, nonprofit staff, as well as others who work on buffers. It is comprised of a series of videos, interactive webinars, and in-person field workshops. Field workshops will be repeated in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

The program was developed in collaboration with the James River Riparian Buffer Consortium, the James River Association, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences, the City of Lancaster, PA, Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and other partners.

2024 Discount  Thanks to generous funding from the Pennsylvania  Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Maryland Department of Natural Resources, 2024 CBLP-Buffers registration fees in those locations will be discounted: CBLP-certified professionals & CCLC members will pay $35; public will pay $45.  This applies only to MD and PA sessions in 2024.

Virginia scholarship funding  The James River Association will provide partial scholarships for applicants who work in the Middle and Upper James River watersheds in Virginia, meeting a needs-based criteria. There are a limited number of scholarships available. To apply, please email Katie@cblpro.org prior to registering.
