Description
Level 1 offers foundational knowledge in designing, installing, and maintaining stormwater best management practices (BMPs). Each interactive session is led by regional experts and includes both classroom instruction and a field-based practicum with BMP inspection and verification training. CBLP training emphasizes critical thinking and collaborative practice.
Discounts and Scholarships:
Group Discount: Companies or organizations sending three or more employees to Level 1 can receive a discount.
PA DCNR Scholarship: Landscape professionals working in Pennsylvania and interested in lawn conversion can receive $400 off the $475 registration fee, thanks to PA DCNR support.
Wetlands Watch Scholarship: A 50% scholarship is available for Level 1 training in SW Virginia. To apply, email stacie@cblpro.org.
Scotty Scholars Scholarship: Offered by CCLC. Applications must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the class.

Online Sessions: Classes will be conducted live via Zoom. Attendance is mandatory for both sessions. AI notetaking devices are not allowed. It’s strongly recommended to use a computer or tablet with microphone and video capabilities. Sessions are recorded; by registering, you consent to being part of the recordings. Field Practicum: The practicum is entirely outdoors in all weather conditions. Participants will visit multiple stormwater practices and must drive their own vehicles or carpool between locations. Be prepared for walking on various surfaces. If accommodations are needed, email katie@cblpro.org.
Level 1 Exam: The exam is currently online. Details will be provided after the training.
Cancellation Policy:
By registering for this course, you have agreed to the following cancellation policy: Cancellations made at least THREE (3) WEEKS prior to event start dates may receive a refund for the cost of the class minus a $35 processing fee. Registration may be transferred to an alternative Level 1 date at any time, without penalty. Participants who wish to request a refund or date change must notify CBLP by email. CBLP will notify you of any changes in schedule related to inclement weather. Should we need to cancel or reschedule a class, date change/refund fees will be waived.
