As Landscape Planner for the City of Newport News I am charged with evaluating proposed plans for the city regarding plant material choices and appropriate uses in conjunction with the existing code. I also work with developers and the planning team to encourage sustainability in the design process. We are currently mapping existing trees in the City and involving the citizens in the process as we strive to increase tree canopy.
