The CBLP-Crews certificate is a one-day course on sustainable landscape maintenance for stormwater best management practices (BMPs), designed for crews and crew leaders who maintain stormwater BMPs.

Topics include:

  • Understanding stormwater impacts on local waterways and the Bay
  • Typical maintenance tasks for  vegetated and non-vegetated BMPs
  • Plant identification techniques
  • Best native plants for BMPs
  • Managing invasive species
  • Developing, and understanding a maintenance plan

The workshop includes interactive, practical, hands- on activities in the field and in the classroom (no powerpoint!) . Participants who successfully complete the one- day course receive a certificate of completion.

CBLP coordinates all aspects of workshop logistics and instruction, including determining a venue for the class, providing meeting materials,  coordination with the hosting organization/venue, delivering educational content, and providing certificates of completion. The class size for this course ranges from 15-30 participants.
