About Us:

I have worked as a professional landscape designer in Virginia since 2007. I started my career as a Pharmaceutical Representative after graduating from the University of Oregon with a BA in English. While carving out a successful sales career, I realized my true passion was horticulture. I completed my Master Gardener training in 2000 through the Ohio Cooperative Extension Service.
After moving to Virginia with my family in 2002, I began working professionally in this area. In 2007, I became a Virginia Certified Horticulturist through Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association. Since that time, I have also achieved National Certifications through ICPI and NCMA for hardscape installation. My studies in both horticulture and hardscape installation enable me to create beautiful designs that are practical and enduring. All designs are thoughtfully created for the spaces they will occupy. Each design is as unique as my clients.
Since becoming CBLP certified over the course of 2018, I have shifted my focus to sustainable landscape design for the benefit of the environment, ourselves, and our future. I have always been passionate about the beauty of horticultural media, and I am excited about using sustainable landscape practices to solve real-world problems and enhance people’s quality of life. Meaningful design is living art which supports a healthy environment, and impacts beyond the individual.
