CBLP Level 2 is designed for experienced landscape professionals who want to specialize in green infrastructure stormwater management: BMP design, installation, and site assessment.
This 3-day green infrastructure training program exposes you to real-world projects and personalized feedback from experts.
Two advanced credentials: Choose design, installation, or both
CBLP Level 2 offers landscape professions two green infrastructure training options for stormwater management:
- CBLP Design (CBLP-D): Design of green stormwater infrastructure and conservation landscapes
- CBLP Installation (CBLP-I): Installation of green stormwater infrastructure and conservation landscapes
All participants attend the same intensive seminar but the assessment and final project requirements differ depending on which credential(s) you choose to pursue. Please reach out to katie@cblpro.org if you are unsure of the best option for you.

Advanced Green Infrastructure Training is Ideal for:
Experienced landscape professionals who have completed Level 1 and want to specialize further in stormwater BMP design and/or installation.
What you’ll learn:
- Advanced site assessment and soil/vegetation protection during construction
- Design and installation of stormwater treatment trains
- Project planning, permitting, and real-world implementation
- How to apply natural plant communities to site design
Learning format:
- Option 1: Three online sessions + one in-person field day
- Option 2: Three full in-person training days
- Both options require preparatory assignments. Each participant is required to write about and present a BMP project they previously designed/installed.
- Participants complete a final project after class.
- Final open-book exam required

Program schedule:
CBLP offers this green stormwater infrastructure training twice each year:
- Spring (March): Hybrid format with field day in Washington, DC
- Fall (November): In-person at rotating locations.

- $580 for one credential (design or installation)
- $630 for both
Application and requirements
- You must have passed the Level 1 exam (or plan to complete it before Level 2).
